- A soft wax dot has been placed inside the bottom of the candlestick so you can make sure the candle sticks in snuggly and stands up straight
- Hand painted with gouache & coated with 3 layers of matte varnish to seal & protect the paint

Please note, there are a couple of ways you can go about using this candlestick:
✨  You can use it for display only, never lighting the candle, just looking pretty as-is.
✨ You can light the candle and keep an eye on it and gently wipe away any wax that may fall on the candlestick. Or wait for the wax to dry and gently scrape it off with a dull edge. The varnish should do a pretty good job protecting the painting, but some distressing may occur.
✨ Or, just let the wax fall where it may! Think of it as a collaborative art piece, the wax becoming part of the artwork itself! Giving it a new layer of meaning and a history tied directly to you. I love the patterns wax makes as it drips, and I think leaving some wax here and there could be a lovely addition to this piece!
